LatestThis release is about keeping the day on schedule. Rounds now resize themselves to the couples actually in them, after recalls and after scratches, and the heats they're danced in are re-timed to match, with the rest of the session following. Every official can see when a heat was planned and when it actually started. Scrutineers can step in for the emcee or the deck captain when needed. Organizers get a redesigned dashboard, a new Documents page with a personal schedule for every athlete, and a safer way to change the competition's status. And the public schedule now shows who dances in every heat.

Dancesport.app has a new official: the Disc Jockey, with a console built for planning the music for a whole competition and following along on the day. The officials' consoles now keep heat statuses up to date on their own and let you step from one item in the running order to the next. Emcees get an award screen that gathers every final danced since the last award. Organizers can print the schedule as a PDF, enter and edit teams, and use a reworked schedule generator that numbers heats in the order they're danced. You can now search for your school and studio when setting your affiliation, and the public results page has been redesigned.

Much of a heat now runs itself. As adjudicators submit, each dance finishes and the next one starts without anyone pressing a button, and when the emcee ends a heat the next one starts and the one after it goes on deck. Organizers can now find or create dancers and enter them in events directly from the competition console. Changes to a dancer's or studio's representation now carry through to upcoming competition entries. And a set of fixes makes scratches and empty rounds behave properly for adjudicators and scrutineers alike.

The emcee can now drive the running order directly — putting a heat on deck, starting it, and ending it when the floor clears — and the live screen follows along. One person can hold several official roles at the same competition, which small events have been asking for. Adjudicators get a roomier scoring screen and one less click per submission, deck captains get a view built for a phone, and error messages across the site now explain what actually went wrong.

Organizers can now invite competition officials who don't have an account yet — the system creates one and emails them a link to set their password. Bib numbers are no longer a one-shot affair: they can be regenerated as often as you need right up until the competition starts, and individual numbers can still be changed after that. Both organizers and scrutineers get a way to push a round's data back out to everyone's devices if a screen somewhere has fallen behind.

A housekeeping release. Screens have more breathing room, several pages now work properly on a phone, and email addresses are lowercased as you type them so an address never fails to match because of a stray capital letter. The public side of the site got faster to load and now shows the right title and description when you share a link to a guide, a release note, or a competition. The one rule change worth knowing: once a competition is under way, competitors can no longer be added to an event that isn't on the day's program.

This release closes the last gap in registration — team entries now get bib numbers and are enrolled into rounds like every other entry type — and fixes a class of bug that had been quietly getting dates wrong for anyone travelling. A competition's dates now read the same whether you open the site in Chicago, London, or Shanghai. The page also notices when a new version has been released instead of leaving you on a stale one, and the rules governing who may change entries, and when, have been consolidated into one consistent set.

This release is about the schedule. A round is no longer stuck in a single heat, which is what finally makes ten-dance, nine-dance, and other multi-style events work properly: the Standard half can run early in a session and the Latin half later, with both halves belonging to the same round. Around that, organizers get real control over how heats are built — how many rounds may share one, how similar their dances must be, and how much rest a competitor gets between appearances. Bib numbers now come from separate ranges for amateurs, professionals, and teams, and generating flights is considerably faster.

This release gives competitions a face. Organizers can now upload their own artwork, crop it, and have it appear as a wide banner on their competition's pages and as a card image wherever the competition is listed. Around that, we've replaced the table-and-dropdown lists that used to sit between people and their competitions: athletes, studios, adjudicators, scrutineers, deck captains, emcees, and the public now all pick a competition from a grid of cards and land on a page dedicated to that competition.

Two themes define this release. The first is what we've taken out: date of birth is gone from the system entirely — the field, the collected data, and the planned age-verification feature — because the privacy cost of holding that data outweighed the convenience of automating a check organizers can make themselves. The second is a milestone in our registration work: with Solo entries now available for Dynamic Events, every registration mode except team and formation entry is available in both Personal and Studio accounts, and we've added automated tests across these flows to help catch regressions.

This release is anchored by a ground-up rewrite of the Registration System. Entry creation and eligibility checking, previously scattered across many small code paths with inconsistent rules, now run through a single unified engine — making registration noticeably faster (Dynamic Event entries that once took seconds now complete in a fraction of a second) and applying entry limits consistently across solo, partnered, regular, and dynamic events. On top of that rewrite, the registration UI for both Athlete and Studio accounts has been updated for consistent behavior across account types, and competition registration links are now shareable: selecting a competition puts its ID in the URL, so organizers can hand out a direct link that drops recipients straight into the right registration form. The rest of the release is a broad sweep of bug fixes across solo entry display, TBA entry handling, scheduling, and the Skating System.

The two biggest additions this release: Athletes get a new Schedule page that lays out every Round and Flight they're entered in once the organizer builds out the competition schedule, and Scrutineers get a full Audit Log for both single-dance and overall Round tabulation, tracing every placement back to the exact rule that produced it. Alongside these, Adjudicator, Scrutineer, Deck Captain, and Emcee all move to a rebuilt real-time data layer and redesigned UI, with a handful of Round Control, tabulation, and registration fixes throughout.

August 4
This release centers on a major UI overhaul for Adjudicator, Scrutineer, Deck Captain, and Emcee, moving all four to a new Schedule Item Side Navigation (SISN) that supports non-elimination Flights and elimination Rounds running simultaneously. Alongside it, Scrutineer gets a redesigned Round and Round Dance control flow, Adjudicator can now score Flight Entries by points, and Organizer gains a Quota page and a redesigned Dynamic Event page. Rounding out the release: password reset, Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, a refreshed public site, and a handful of registration and scoring bug fixes.

This release introduces Team Registration alongside the existing Solo and Partnered entry types, letting Studio Accounts sign up teams for formations and team matches, with organizers able to view, and delete team entries. Deck Captain gets a full competition Schedule view (Rounds and Flights that can now run simultaneously) with the ability to check in or scratch Flight Entries, and those changes now sync to Emcee in real time. Athlete and Studio dashboards now surface Solo and Team entries alongside Partnered ones, the landing page was redesigned, and a number of registration bugs were fixed.
