Summary

This release gives competitions a face. Organizers can now upload their own artwork, crop it, and have it appear as a wide banner on their competition's pages and as a card image wherever the competition is listed. Around that, we've replaced the table-and-dropdown lists that used to sit between people and their competitions: athletes, studios, adjudicators, scrutineers, deck captains, emcees, and the public now all pick a competition from a grid of cards and land on a page dedicated to that competition.

Also in this release: competition owners can share their custom event classifiers with co-organizers, unused custom classifiers can finally be deleted, and studio accounts can correct a managed dancer's name.

System

Competition branding: organizers can upload artwork that appears as a banner on their competition's pages and as a card image in every competition listing. We're very excited about this one!
Competitions without artwork aren't left blank. Each one gets its own colored gradient, generated from the competition itself, with the competition's initials on top. No two look alike, the same competition always looks the same, and a list of competitions never reads as half-broken while some organizers have uploaded artwork and others haven't.

The registration page has been redesigned. Competitions now appear as cards, each showing the organizer's artwork if they've uploaded any. Choosing Register takes you to a page dedicated to that competition, with its banner across the top.
The Schedule page now uses the same competition cards to get to your heats at a given competition.

Studio

The registration page has been redesigned to match the athlete experience: competitions appear as cards, and choosing Register opens a page dedicated to that competition.
A managed dancer's first and last name can now be corrected from the Studio Dancers page.

Organizer

Features

Competition branding. Upload one image and crop it twice — once wide (3:1) for the banner, once at 16:9 for the card. Two crops rather than one, because a wide banner cut down to a card shape loses most of its width, and competition artwork is usually laid out across that width.

The banner appears across the top of pages belonging to that competition — the public competition page and the registration page — with the competition's name, dates, and venue laid over it. The card image appears wherever the competition is listed for selection.

Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP, up to 8 MB. Uploading again replaces the previous artwork. Your original file is never stored: the image is decoded in the browser, only the two crops are sent, and we re-encode everything we save. That means nothing hidden inside an image file — location data from a phone photo, or anything embedded in it — survives the upload.

Enhancement

Custom Federations, Divisions, Ages, and Proficiencies created by a competition's owner are now available to co-organizers, who can build and edit that competition's events and dynamic events with them. A co-organizer's own personal classifiers are not available while they're working on someone else's competition — the competition uses its owner's vocabulary, whoever is doing the work.
Custom classifiers can now be deleted, as long as no event, dynamic event, or competition still refers to them. Attempting to delete one that's in use explains what's holding it.
The custom classifier lists are now searchable and sortable, and rows highlight as you move through them.
Create Dynamic Event form: hold Shift and click to select a range of checkboxes at once, or use the new Select All button.

Enhancement

The competition portal has been redesigned. Instead of a list, your competitions appear as cards — with the organizer's artwork where they've added it — and you pick one to enter its console.

Public

Enhancement

Upcoming competitions are now shown as cards rather than a table. Selecting one opens a page dedicated to that competition, with its events, entries, and schedule.
A competition's public detail page now opens with the organizer's banner across the top, carrying the competition's name, dates, and venue over the artwork. Competitions without artwork keep the same details in the layout used before.

Bug Fixes

Fixed a problem where moving to a new page while scrolled down left you partway down the new page instead of at the top.
