Queuing a Round
Overview
Queuing a Round opens it for check-in. It's the first step in running a round — competitors line up and Deck Captain checks them in — and comes before Starting the round. In the Round Control panel this action is labeled Check-In.
Queuing is a Round Manager action available to Scrutineer.
What Happens When You Queue a Round
- The round's status changes to Queued.
- The round's dances are also queued, becoming visible to Adjudicators and Emcee.
- The event is marked Queued, if it wasn't already.
- If the competition was still in Closed Registration, it's moved to In Progress.
- The change is pushed out in real time, so Adjudicator, Emcee, and Deck Captain views update automatically.
Conditions for Queuing a Round
A round can be queued only if all of the following are true:
- The competition is in Closed Registration or In Progress. Rounds can't be queued while registration is still open.
- The round has at least one entry. An empty round can't be queued.
- The round hasn't been Finalized. Once a round's results are finalized, it can no longer be queued.
Queue is only offered while the round is in Created status — once queued, the round's next available action becomes Start.
How to Queue a Round
- Open the competition's Scrutineer view and go to Round Manager.
- Select the round you want to queue from the side navigation.
- In the Round Control panel, click Check-In.
- Confirm in the dialog.
Once confirmed, the round shows a Queued status badge, and Deck Captain can begin checking entries in for it.
